This old book (and several others I have tried to view as a PDF)is un-readable. Why is that? Is the PDF file corrupt?

This text seems fine - I downloaded it and opened it without problems. Text is legible and clear.

Are you seeing the whole PDF corrupt or just select pages?

May want to try reinstalling adobe.

Gabe, I have downloaded a pdf of another text with which I have been having the same problem. Do you mind if I send you a page as an attachment to an email? I have already sent it to another person to see if they could read it. They also saw only smeared discolored text that was not readable. In the meantime, I will re-install Adobe.
